The organiser will be working in close co-operation with the Auckland Airspace Users Group and New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority. Repco Rally New Zealand will operate a restricted airspace area over the rally route and only aircraft registered with the organisers will be permitted to enter this airspace.
All aircraft who intend to view the event are required to be officially registered with Repco Rally New Zealand. A NOTAM will be in force for the area covered by the event. Checks will be carried out during the event to ensure that all aircraft are registered and any unregistered aircraft will be reported.
Each aircraft wishing to operate overhead the rally must register with the organiser using this registration form and pay a registration fee. To register your aircraft or for any enquiries please contact our Helicopter Liaison at airspace@rallynewzealand.com.
All registered pilots must attend the briefing on Thursday September 29th at 16:00hrs to acquire the organiser’s pilots’ pack including the helicopter guide, ID plates, and rally maps.
